I love how the window splits and splits to reveal panes of visions of subtle distinction in lines, definition and the that blur of haze and non space while the inside room is so tangible and fills the space

Thanks my friend. You know this image is kind of the key to this series, at least in my mind…

It is. I was so drawn to it. Sometimes I feel my writing could not do your prints justice. Another thing remember when we first wrote about the stereotype of the Swede. Well early in my writing Thom Gunn said he loved my writing but as a friend was worried about how how I could write about violence with such cold lovely severity. :) My writing possesses different styles now but I do still write with a severity at times.

Listen Kay, I do have a very open mind when it comes to interpretation or how other look upon my art and this is important and also what is interesting with this “business”. I almost always have a clear idea on why I’m doing what I’m doing, but that doesn’t mean that I’m rigid in my thinking. Almost everything I do is fundamentally about the question not the answers. I can of course talk about ideas, my ideas if someone ask me, but I do try to keep my mouth shut as often as I can, not giving away “my answer” so to speak. It is, as I see it “written into” the concept of doing art that after you have done something it’s not only yours anymore and you have to leave it open for others to find their own meaning or answer, if not you are not doing art. I may not always agree and often it is surprising to me to experience one’s own work true the eyes and heart of others, but that is the wonders of doing this I think. So what I’m trying to say is that I’m 100% sure that your writing is going to bring something new to the table, and that your writing and my visuals together can be about something new. As I see it, this collaboration or meeting between you and me, is about art, not about you trying to interpret my work or the other way around. Hope you understand the difference? And I hope you feel that I want to leave “the field” open for you, so don’t fret, take the leap…:-)

Thanks for the articulating your thoughts and intents. It is Art. And if someone I admired wanted to illustrate one of my poems, I would also "keep my mouth"shut" looking forward to their vision with excitement. Thank you, I feel the old excitement and wonder with what I will write when I start with one of your photos. As I implied before the literary side of DA and what gets favored most has been depressing me this week.
