This guy appears to have a thing with chairs: undefinedreference.deviantart.… , but you probably already know him. They are indeed a surprisingly powerful symbol, I can't think of anything else with such expressive power. Which is of course because nothing else can that effectively suggest the presence of human beings who happen to not be there at the moment the picture is taken. In China it is apparently (still) socially acceptable to sit on chairs held together by rope and cello tape twistedsifter.com/2013/08/home… . I'm sitting on a  wooden bar chair right now of which black duct tape is an important structural element, but it's inside so nobody can see it, so I'm socially safe as long as I dress up before leaving the house. The wall is also interesting in this picture, it looks as if the seams are made of a sturdier material than the bricks themselves. One day the bricks might have fully weathered away and only the seams remain in place, keeping the structure up. Wouldn't that be an awesome sight?:)
