You are right in the sense that I almost always think in terms of sequences or series, and although every single image I do of course is important to me, the concept of the series almost always is more important in the end than the single images that is part of the series. It is also interesting to me to hear you speak about randomness and even using the word boring or meaningless. I guess you’re right in some way, but to me there is a lot of magic and beauty going on in the mundane, In fact that is one of the major aspects I’m constantly searching for in my urban work, so in that sense there is almost never a question of random snapshots. It may seems so (which I think you mean), but a lot of my images are a result of careful planning (read thinking) and revisiting over and over again…
